Happy MLK Day!!!

I am not sure if I like this quote because of all the different thing it gives you to think about or maybe the artistic look that it has with the many different fonts. One thing I do know though is that all the things that it says are things that I find to be helpful and true! So once you have read this... take a step back, look over your life and see if you can do some of the things listed above to make your life better. I know I can! Choose one or two sentences and use them for your New Years goal if you still don't have one! 

My Favorite Things at the Moment

Do you have a pair of these? If you don't you need to get some!! I have pair of glitter TOMS in all the colors above but the gold. I would totally get them in the gold but I don't have much that I could wear with them so I haven't bought them yet. They also have some super cute ones in canvas and corduroy material in all different colors. Check them out HERE!

I stumbled across these TOMS while blog hopping and instantly fell in love, but guess what! They don't make them anymore!! They are an older version of TOMS and I can't find them anywhere! Help!!! It is probably a long shot but do you know anywhere I can still get some?

Reason Behind the Name

Naming a blog is kind of like naming your kid, even though I have not had to name a kid yet I would imagine it is the same. You want it to sound good, to flow and have meaning (okay, maybe not that important, but for some people it is). So here it goes the meaning behind the name:

I live in a place where for almost half the year it is raining or snowing and the other half there is no where or place you can go to get away from the beating sun rays. I love the sun and most the time would rather be warm rather then cold but in the winter you can't help but be cold here. At the moment I am in the eye of the storm, they coldest month of the year! January! And most winter days I wake up to a snow covered world (like the picture above). On days like this I wait for the sun to just peak out from behind the clouds! Hoping for a "Sliver of Sunshine" to brighten my day. Ya I know it sounds dumb but it's true!  

I would love to have more clear, blue skies day like these two pictures, but since those days won't be coming for a few more months I will just sit and wait for A "Sliver of Sunshine"!
